Like global Nordic design, the history of the vintage Scandinavian armchair begins in the early 20th century, nurtured by the aesthetic influences of the late 19th century British Arts & Crafts movement, the Bauhaus, and modernism. By revisiting these currents with a resolutely modern sensibility, the most renowned designers of the era shaped a distinctive and immediately recognizable style. This was an era of boldness, where innovative materials like molded plywood, plastic, plexiglass, and glass emerged alongside traditional wood species.
Crafted in solid wood, oak or walnut, and adorned with leather or rare materials, these seats revive the elegance of a bygone era. An excellence that our Maison transmits and protects with passion.
