EACD 2026: Norki, 15 years of craftsmanship and passing on expertise at the heart of the craft
In 2026, the European Artistic Crafts Days (Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art – JEMA) take on a very special significance at Norki. The event coincides with the Maison’s fifteenth anniversary, founded in 2010 by Sonia Linard, and offers an opportunity to shine a light on a singular journey shaped by passion, high standards, and transmission. This year’s EACD theme, “With heart and soul”, resonates deeply with Norki’s DNA—an enterprise where every gesture, every material, and every creation tells a profoundly human story.
Since its founding, Norki has established itself as an international reference in the world of high-end decoration and furniture. Renowned worldwide for its bold aesthetic, creative audacity, and commitment to artisanal production, the Maison has built a strong identity around hides and furs, worked with respect, precision, and sensitivity. In Molsheim, Alsace, at the heart of the Grand Est region, the Norki workshops are where ideas take shape, materials become objects, and know-how is passed on day after day.
For Norki, taking part in the European Artistic Crafts Days is far more than an annual event—it is a commitment. Since 2024, the Maison has opened its doors to the public to share the reality of its works, explain its gestures, and make visible what too often remains hidden behind finished objects. In 2026, this participation naturally continues, strengthened by the company’s fifteenth anniversary and by a major recognition obtained in 2023: the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label.
Being awarded the EPV label means belonging to a select circle of French companies recognized for the excellence of their artisanal and industrial know-how. This distinction highlights businesses that combine tradition and innovation, master rare techniques, and pursue long-term development. At Norki, this recognition crowns years of work, research, and exacting standards, as well as the vision carried by its founder. Since 2025, Sonia Linard has also served as President of the EPV Grand Est network, further reinforcing her commitment to promoting craftsmanship, transmission, and the international reach of made in France.
At Norki, made in France is not a marketing argument—it is a daily reality lived within the Molsheim workshops. Upholstery, fur sewing, Lunéville embroidery, and the working of hides and furs: each craft is practiced in-house by skilled artisans, trained in demanding techniques and driven by the same passion for excellence. This diversity of know-how allows the Maison to design and manufacture unique decorative and furniture pieces, where every detail matters and the hand of the artisan remains visible.
On the occasion of EACD 2026, Norki invites the public to discover this universe from the inside. Visitors will be able to understand how a piece is created—from the selection of materials to their preparation, cutting, assembly, and final enhancement. They will also gain an appreciation for the time required by artisanal craftsmanship, far removed from standardized industrial processes. Here, the theme “with heart and soul” takes on its full meaning, evoking the emotional commitment, patience, and rigor essential to these works.
Celebrating fifteen years during the European Artistic Crafts Days is also a way of reminding us that know-how cannot be decreed—it is built over time. At Norki, transmission lies at the very heart of the company’s project. It takes place between generations of artisans, between the founder and her teams, and also with the public, through the opening of the workshops and the sharing of knowledge. This desire to pass on skills is inseparable from the very idea of living heritage embodied by the EPV label.
By taking part in EACD 2026, Norki once again affirms its attachment to the values of French craftsmanship, responsible creation, and the recognition of the women and men who bring these exceptional works to life. In Molsheim, with heart and soul is not a slogan, but a daily reality—shaped by fifteen years of passion, dedication, and creation.
