European Heritage Days 2025: Norki and the Living Heritage Companies (EPV) of the Grand Est at the Abbey of Auberive

A major cultural event in Europe.

The European Heritage Days 2025 will take place on September 19, 20 and 21. Created in 1984 at the initiative of Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, they have since become a flagship event in France and throughout Europe.
Each year, thousands of monuments, museums, workshops, and businesses open their doors, allowing the public to discover places and expertise that are often inaccessible.

The Abbey of Auberive, an exceptional setting in Haute-Marne

In the heart of Haute-Marne, the Cistercian Abbey of Auberive, founded in the 12th century, embodies the richness of regional heritage. Carefully restored, it now houses one of the most important private collections of contemporary art in France.

A place of memory and creation, the abbey offers a unique dialogue between past and present. In 2025, it will become the stage for a major event of the European Heritage Days in the Grand Est region.

Living Heritage Companies (EPV) in the spotlight

The Regional Association of Living Heritage Companies (EPV) of the Grand Est brings together 150 businesses: from artisan workshops to mid-sized companies (ETIs).
These houses share the same mission: to preserve and reinvent rare and precious expertise, handed down from tradition.

On the occasion of the 2025 Heritage Days, the EPV will take over the Abbey of Auberive to offer the public demonstrations, exhibitions, and encounters around their crafts.

The Grand Est Excellence network will be showcased at the Abbey of Auberive during the European Heritage Days on September 20 and 21, 2025.

Norki: elegance and artisanal expertise

Among these companies, Norki will be highlighted. Specializing in fur and leather craftsmanship, the house continues a demanding and refined artisanal tradition.

By combining respect for noble materials with contemporary creation, Norki fully embodies the spirit of the European Heritage Days: connecting the beauty of the past with today’s innovation.

At the Abbey of Auberive, its creations will engage in dialogue with the history of the site and contemporary art, offering visitors a unique experience.
