A style freed from pastel trends, conventional light blue, and pristine white, embracing instead richer, more grounded tones: deep navy, mineral beige, warm camel, and golden yellow.

Embracing Eclecticism: A Free Blend of Eras and Inspirations
At Norki, summer means embracing eclecticism. This moodboard reflects our love of well-balanced contrasts, liberated associations, and aesthetic dialogues between periods. Mid-century vintage furniture stands alongside raw, expressive artworks, while our own creations add a distinctly contemporary edge. This blend of styles is not decorative whimsy, but a conscious and coherent approach: to shape an interior that feels alive, layered with stories, and deeply rooted in the present.
Vintage furniture takes center stage in this composition, particularly with references to 20th century Scandinavian design. The Domus lounge chairs by Alf Svensson perfectly embody this refined and comfortable aesthetic, with their angled silhouettes, light-toned wood, and understated elegance.
In the same spirit, the Svegards Markaryd sofa recalls that intense creative period, when functionality never compromised beauty. To further ground this atmosphere, a solid teak coffee table by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen completes the ensemble. This Danish design duo left a lasting imprint on the history of furniture with their clear, balanced, and timeless vision.
Amid these vintage lines and patinated woods, the ceramics by Karin Björquist feel naturally at home. Produced in the 1960s for the Gustavsberg studio, her stoneware vases and bowls add both texture and softness to the space.
Their organic shapes, muted palette, and visible craftsmanship make them discreet yet powerful accents within the room.

Norki’s universe fully unfolds here through a selection of pieces designed in our own workshops. The Saint-Peter rug, inspired by the northern seaside landscapes and the misty tones of Saint Peter Port, captures shades of sand, seaweed, and ever-changing skies.
The Étretat cushion, imagined as a textile fragment of the iconic cliffs, is available in other colourways to suit any interior. These creations reflect our commitment to offering lasting, sensitive textile objects, carefully conceived to harmonize with the vintage gems in this moodboard.

Finally, the work of Carlo Zinelli introduces a raw, poetic, and unexpected touch. A major figure in Italian Art Brut, Zinelli is today represented by Galerie Ritsch-Fisch in Strasbourg, with whom we are proud to collaborate. His singular world—repetitive silhouettes, inner rhythms, bold colours—resonates with the freedom this moodboard embodies.
Displayed alongside furniture and Norki objects, his artwork radiates rare and magnetic energy. It transforms the space into a place of contemplation, gentle tension, and artistic vibration.
