IKEA X Gustaf Westman sign the most anticipated collaboration of the season!
IKEA x Gustaf Westman: a reinvented and colourful Christmas!
At the end of 2025, the Swedish brand has made a bold move by teaming up with one of the most sought-after Scandinavian designers of the moment, Gustaf Westman. The result is a line of festive tableware and decorative objects that completely breaks away from the codes of traditional Christmas. Forget deep red, pine green, or Scottish tartan. Here, it’s all about an explosion of organic shapes and pop colours that bring a much-welcomed sense of playfulness to the holiday season.
With this collaboration, IKEA and Gustaf Westman offer a fresh vision of year-end celebrations. The idea is simple yet powerful: you don’t need a big occasion to celebrate. Every dinner with friends or family can become festive, and every shared moment can turn into a joyful memory. Gustaf Westman describes his vision as a Christmas designed for a new generation, a design that frees the art of the table from conventions and makes it relaxed, joyful, and accessible.
What stands out first in the VINTERFINT collection is its aesthetic. The objects are defined by generous, sculptural shapes reminiscent of Gustaf Westman’s style—sometimes deliberately disproportionate—conveying both strength and softness. The colours are just as surprising. While traditional tones of red and green are present, they’re shaken up by unexpected shades such as bubble-gum pink, sky blue, and coral. The result is a palette that radiates joy and appeals to those who want a different Christmas—less rigid, more spontaneous. Some pieces play with contrasts, like a square plate with a perfectly round hollow center, or a spiral vase that seems to dance in the middle of the table.
Among the standout pieces is the “meatball” plate, a playful nod to IKEA’s famous meatballs, which celebrate their 40th anniversary this year. With grooves that align each bite, it’s as amusing as it is appealing. The oversized cup and saucer tell another story: Westman’s childhood memories of sipping warm glögg with cookies. The spiral vase, meanwhile, combines a coiled metal structure with a glass container, creating a sense of movement and lightness. Finally, candlesticks, candelabras, and portable lamps complete the collection, bringing warmth and atmosphere that transform a simple table into a true festive scene.
A unique Christmas for 2025!
What also makes this holiday season special is that at Norki, we share this same desire to reinvent traditions and offer a different kind of Christmas. We, too, are proud to present a unique piece signed by Gustaf Westman, alongside colourful and festive objects designed to dress up your tables and interiors. True to our passion for design and creativity, we love imagining objects that bring joy, whimsy, and an unexpected touch to your festive moments.
Our creations embrace the same philosophy: adding character to Christmas décor without falling into the déjà-vu. With bold colours, original shapes, and little details that spark a smile, each object becomes a celebration in itself. With Norki, the end of the year turns into an aesthetic and convivial playground, where Scandinavian heritage meets modern freedom.
