Trophée Norki finalists | French Art Prize
For this first edition, the jury members selected three projects from the seven in competition. The students from Le Corbusier High School in Strasbourg competed under the theme "The Office of Tomorrow According to Le Corbusier," blending innovation and design. The presented projects emphasize a deep reflection on the use of office elements, their practicality, while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
“To break away from the ordinary, just like Le Corbusier, we focused on creating what accompanies the office space—not a classic chair or desk, but furniture that structures and dresses the room.”
The first project presents a new reinterpretation of office furniture. A collection of furniture named in Hindi, inspired by Le Corbusier's buildings and architecture.
“The ‘Thos’ collection stands out with its minimalist and raw aesthetic, where the purity of forms is highlighted by the richness of materials. The absence of excessive ornamentation emphasizes the expressive strength of each element, creating a set that is both timeless and contemporary.”
“Our approach primarily focuses on exploring the graphic richness of the Golden Ratio, elevating it to the level of a visual signature. More than just a simple proportion principle, it becomes a structuring motif, a framework that guides the design of objects and asserts their identity.”
The drawing of the Golden Ratio is at the heart of the source of inspiration, bringing a strong and immediately recognizable identity.
Placing the human being at the center of creation is the philosophy of Le Corbusier, translated through this project. The purpose of this desk and oscillating seat is to promote a healthy posture and well-being at work.
“The desk was designed to offer freedom of movement and posture to its user. It allows working both sitting and standing, encouraging position changes throughout the day to foster comfort, concentration, and well-being.”
The final deliberation took place on May 26, under the watchful eye of a jury composed of influential figures from the worlds of design, specialized media, and luxury craftsmanship.
