Avant le Jour is an ode the earliest hour of the morning in the Normandy countryside, this moment out of space and time when the night isn’t quite over but it is not yet near day.
This rich, complex and yet somewhat familiar scent captures the warm, cosy feeling of a cottage home exhaling the smell of wood, smoke and leather, suddenly contrasting with the first breath of cold air entering the body when going out at dawn. As the gentle winter sun lifts the veil of slumber upon pastures, nature distils the most delicate fragrances of green grass, wild flowers and moss, exalted by the morning dew.
Seizing this transient hour when sensations and impressions arise, Avant Le Jour is a comforting yet intense scent evoking a perpetual renewal.
Buji
Created in Switzerland as objects of desire and crafted in France as works of art, Buji candles blend the sensuality of sculpture with the delicacy of jewellery, softened by contemporary design. Carved from the purest white alabaster from Spain, each container holds a soy wax candle that releases captivating scents made from natural ingredients. An indefatigable explorer with a curious nature, Sophie Margaux, the founder of Buji, is a German interior designer based in Switzerland, in a region adjacent to the Bernese Alps where she finds inspiration in the serene yet intense natural landscapes. Convinced of the spiritual power of scented candles but tired of their ordinary design, she decided to create Buji as an artistic vision, using her avant-garde curator’s eye to design a vessel that would finally match the fleeting poetry of the fragrances.
