HANS Jørgensen WEGNER (1914 – 2007)

Often referred to as the ‘master of chairs’, he created over 500 chairs during his career, becoming one of the most influential figures in Scandinavian design. He was particularly associated with the modern Danish design movement. All the Danish designer's furniture has simple, timeless lines, and was designed above all to be functional. His legacy lives on through his timeless creations and his influence on contemporary design.
