Pair of Chairs Model Lata Greven – One-of-a-kind Pieces
This model of chaise longue "Lata Greven" (Lazy Countess) was designed by Carl Malmsten in 1953 and manufactured at that time by O.H Sjögren. These two chairs have been fully restored to regain their famous elegant lines, now covered in oat-colored sheepskin. The structure and legs are made of polished birch, highlighting the beautiful grain and vitality of the wood. Design Carl Malmsten®

Carl Malmsten, a prominent furniture designer associated with Swedish modernism, was highly regarded for his sofas and armchairs with harmonious shapes and lush colours. Malmsten believed that light, like our eyes and bodies, did not like to encounter sharp angles. Smooth edges, on the other hand, are more pleasing to the eye and touch, allowing light to gently bounce off the surfaces.
