With her signature round tortoiseshell glasses, Sonia Linard embodies the very essence of artistic elegance.
More than a designer, she is a creative force who has forged her own path in the world of craftsmanship and luxury interior decoration. A true traveller at heart, Sonia carries the heritage and expertise of her workshops across the globe, sharing a vision rooted in exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.
Every creation reflects her unwavering commitment to artistic freedom and her profound appreciation for beautiful materials. Drawn to handcrafted objects, she celebrates pieces that bear the unmistakable imprint of the artisan's hand and the authenticity of traditional savoir-faire.
A passionate musician and former piano professor at the Conservatory, Sonia draws inspiration from artistic movements that transcend time and cultures. She creates with instinct, curiosity and poetic sensitivity, while remaining deeply connected to her Slavic roots.
Within her creative universe, authenticity, excellence and the nobility of materials are celebrated with passion, precision and a touch of poetry.
Since May 2025, Sonia Linard has also served as President of the Grand Est Network of Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies), further reflecting her commitment to preserving and promoting France's finest artisanal craftsmanship.
OUR STORY
The Maison
Founded in 2010, Maison NORKI has established itself as one of the leading names in French luxury interior design and decorative arts.
Its identity is rooted in an exceptional craft: fur craftsmanship, a rare expertise that was honoured in 2023 with France's prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, awarded by the French State in recognition of outstanding artisanal excellence.
Over the years, the Maison has expanded its expertise into two complementary fields. The first is bespoke craftsmanship, encompassing upholstery, soft furnishings, Lunéville embroidery and custom-made rugs. The second is the creation of exceptional chalet interiors around the world through Studio Chalet, our dedicated interior design studio, where every project is conceived as a unique expression of elegance, comfort and authenticity.
Origins
Maison NORKI was founded in Strasbourg in 2010 by Sonia Linard, who continues to lead the creative vision of the Maison as its Artistic Director.
She was joined by her husband, Thierry, in 2011, and by their son, Louis, in 2019, transforming NORKI into a family-owned Maison where creativity, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit are passed from one generation to the next.
Today, our workshops are located in Molsheim, along the renowned Alsace Wine Route in eastern France. It is here that every creation is handcrafted and every interior design project is developed, preserving the artisanal gestures, meticulous craftsmanship and uncompromising standards that define the identity of Maison NORKI.
