2026 edition –
"Tapis-siège" according to pierre paulin

For its second edition, the Norki Trophy is partnering with public art and design schools, inviting fifth-year students and recent graduates to take on a new creative challenge. The theme of this edition is: “Le tapis-siège according to Pierre Paulin” — a tribute to the iconic designer known for his organic forms and avant-garde approach to comfort. Participants are invited to design a hybrid object that combines a rug and a seat, whether in the form of a rug incorporating a seat, or a seat integrating a rug — drawing inspiration from Pierre Paulin’s bold and sculptural universe, while incorporating contemporary design codes. This competition offers a unique opportunity to rethink functions, forms, and materials, and to spark a dialogue between design heritage and innovation.
