Our upholsterers and furnishing seamstresses are responsible for the creation, renovation, and restoration of furniture fabrics and padding—working on armchairs, sofas, beds—as well as the creation of window treatments, headboards, wall coverings, and wall hangings.
This highly codified profession demands in-depth knowledge of materials, furniture construction and restoration techniques, along with a strong aesthetic sensibility.
At the heart of our Maison’s exceptional know-how, the demands of our artisan trades are numerous. First and foremost, our skilled artisans have solid technical training, often acquired through specialized education and/or apprenticeships, and refined through extensive in-house development.
Our team masters fur sewing, assembly, padding, and various fabric upholstery techniques. They have thorough knowledge of different types of fabrics (velvet, linen, silk, leather, etc.) and how they behave with use and wear. Our Workshop also has a deep understanding of furniture structures, whether made of wood, metal, or other materials.
The skills required go far beyond manual dexterity—creativity, an eye for detail, patience, and precision are all essential.
