The Essence of Our Commitments
The art of combining excellence, heritage
and commitment
The values
of the Maison
At Norki, we are committed to embodying humanist values that reflect our passion and our responsibility towards society and excellence. Craftsmanship is the heart of our profession, where every piece is meticulously designed and made, guaranteeing an impeccable quality that lies at the centre of our concerns.
Art – the DNA of our Maison
Hungarian Art Schools, Arty style, Bauhaus, Chalet de la Rossinière, Cédric Pollet’s photographs of tree bark, the Baltic Sea, Slavic and Scandinavian influences, French literature and a range of highly refined artistic inspirations from all over the world tell the story of our pieces.
These plural and eclectic horizons give our creations a unique perspective, one we want to be free and creative, bold and inventive. Our Collections tell unforgettable artistic stories around universes that fascinate and inspire us.
The French spirit and Art de vivre are at the heart of our Maison and our creations.
Women at work
Our Maison takes great pride in valuing and promoting women’s employment. Ambition, passion, precision, high standards, freedom, sisterhood: words that reflect the qualities and deep values of our employees. Our Atelier is exclusively female and brings together upholsterers and seamstresses with expert hands, virtuosos of their craft.
United under the attentive and proud gaze of Sonia Linard, our employees are skilled and talented professionals. As founder and inspiring Artistic Director, Sonia embodies the values of kindness, respect and recognition, creating a stimulating work environment in which each of our employees can fully flourish.
We firmly believe in the importance of gender equality. We are proud of our exclusively female production team, as well as our predominantly female design office, the two fundamental pillars of our success and reputation. Together, hand in hand and day after day, we will continue to build a future in which women play a central role and their talent is recognised and celebrated.
Made in France quality
Quality, rarity, savoir-faire and bespoke – Made in France, or how to fly the French flag high. Founded by a family with a rich heritage in the art of working leather and fur, our Maison has always been guided by a deep respect for artisanal savoir-faire and a true commitment to the recognition of Made in France excellence.
Our philosophy is built on quality and heritage in all their forms. Our creations are designed to last and to be passed down from generation to generation, creating a lasting family heritage. Passionate about passing on sewing and upholstery techniques, we are committed to preserving these exceptional skills. It is a way of conceiving luxury that goes beyond superficiality to embrace deeper, more meaningful values.
We celebrate Made in France in all its forms, with a promise of excellence and a deep respect for luxury craftsmanship. Our creations go beyond their function: they are the guardians of a heritage, the witnesses of an exceptional art and the symbols of timeless elegance.
NORKI – A commitment to excellence.
Sustainable development
Sustainable products
Combining respect for materials with their embellishment, Norki rises and stands out through the quality of its pieces and its fundamental values.
We believe in the power of beautiful craftsmanship and in passing on a heritage through durable pieces, reflecting our commitment to timeless quality and ethical manufacturing.
With our refined Collection of vintage pieces, carefully restored to regain their former glory, we believe in the magic of bringing these treasures back to life, offering faithful companions for generations to come.
Every Norki item bears the signature of Made in France, a symbol of quality and authenticity that we hold dear. For us, sustainability goes beyond the simple longevity of a piece: it lies in its impact on the environment and on those who shape it.
Natural resources
True to its social, societal and environmental commitment, our Maison strives to minimise and limit its impact on our planet and imposes strict rules on the sourcing of the exceptional natural materials it works with and transforms in its workshops.
We have put in place full traceability of our raw materials and defined strict animal welfare standards, while ensuring that these standards are properly applied. The environmental impact of farms, linked to the breeding and feeding of animals, is also part of our thinking, and our suppliers must comply with strict specifications.
Our primary aim is to showcase the richness and beauty of the raw materials we use, such as leather, fur and wood, while avoiding waste and offcuts and making the most of every material. Committed to upcycling and true to our values, we integrate these choices into our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint.
Norki is committed to sustainable and eco-responsible Luxury and stands by the durability of its products. Our creations are by nature vehicles of timeless elegance and thus escape seasons and passing trends. We design and make high-quality products that accompany you throughout a lifetime and therefore carry an implicit durability: consuming better and less, always with respect for the materials we work with.
Our idea of Luxury: respect for the nobility of materials and for artisanal savoir-faire, the necessary conditions for creating an exceptional object full of meaning, heritage and history.
Sustainable jobs
Deeply attached to passing on its savoir-faire, our Maison is committed to offering in-house training opportunities, welcoming apprentices and interns in our workshops as well as in our design office.
We encourage internal mobility and career progression, giving our employees the opportunity to climb the ladder and develop their potential over the long term. We also take great pride in promoting women’s employment.
At Norki, we are dedicated to creating a work environment that supports everyone’s well-being, where each individual can flourish. Flexible working arrangements – a 4-day week for our atelier and one day of remote work per week for the back office – have also been introduced to find the best balance between work and family life.
Our headquarters
Our Alsatian headquarters is a model of environmental commitment. The premises that house us were designed with respect for and the preservation of nature.
We use a wood-fired heating system, fuelled by wood offcuts from the neighbouring company, as part of a collaborative network set up between three companies to heat our respective premises. This partnership ensures optimal use of resources and reduces our carbon footprint.
In addition, our buildings are passive structures, designed to maximise energy efficiency and minimise consumption. Thanks to these innovations, we are able to create a sustainable work environment in line with our ecological values.
Inclusion
Our Maison is committed to inclusion and exhibits the work of artist Flore Sigrist. Autism, a complex neurodevelopmental condition, affects millions of people around the world.
As we strive for a more inclusive and compassionate society, understanding autism and promoting social responsibility is essential to our Maison.
Through our partnership with Flore Sigrist, a renowned and talented painter from our region who has Asperger’s syndrome, we support initiatives that promote the understanding and acceptance of autism in our society. We firmly believe that diversity is a strength and that inclusion is essential to a harmonious and caring future. Through this partnership, we want to promote art, craftsmanship and living together.
Join us on this journey, guided by empathy and driven by a commitment to fostering a more supportive environment for autistic people, and discover Flore’s finest pieces in our boutiques in Paris, Gstaad and Megève.
Our White Walls Collection, created around Flore’s work, is available to discover here.
