De Puydt, often known as Kunstmeubelen De Puydt, is a renowned Belgian furniture workshop and manufacturer established in the mid-20th century. The house reached its creative peak during the 1960s and 1970s. Rather than being a single independent designer, De Puydt was a prestigious design and manufacturing house that left an indelible mark on the history of European design. Today, the workshop is internationally recognized for its sculptural approach and brutalist aesthetic, a bold movement that emphasizes raw, organic materials.
Their material of choice was solid oak, worked with exceptional artisanal mastery. De Puydt's creations are distinguished by their imposing architectural structures, their iconic high spindle backs, and an assembly where rugged durability meets timeless elegance.
Having ceased operations toward the end of the last century, the manufacture's pieces have become highly sought after by antique collectors. To enrich our exclusive collection, our Maison has sourced a set of 6 brutalist chairs manufactured by De Puydt for its curated selection of vintage furniture. This rare find perfectly illustrates our commitment to offering unique pieces that blend historical character with refined mountain-inspired design.
