Before this "whipped cream effects" spread to homes and flats in DIY versions, this unique style was popularised by visionary designers. Sweden's Gustaf Westman incorporated the look into his transgressive repertoire with his famous "Popcorn" style, joined by the innovative creations of Toronto design studio Susan for Susan.
Gustaf Westman is the founder of the Gustaf Westman Objects design studio.
Launched in 2020 in Stockholm, the studio offers a collection of sophisticated yet playful decorative items inspired by Scandinavian design traditions.
