Contemporary Black Canvas by Flore Sigrist – Pink Black and White Painting
Flore Sigrist, a contemporary French artist, invites us to explore the subtleties of contemporary art through her painting. The composition, both minimalist and intense, unfolds a play of shapes and colours that immediately capture the viewer's attention.
This work perfectly fits within the realm of contemporary painting, where experimentation and innovation are at the core of the artistic approach. Flore Sigrist thus succeeds in questioning the viewer on perception, emotion, and beauty, transforming each gaze into an exploration of the invisible.

WORKSHOP SECRET
« Chance or deliberate approach: this work immerses us in a series of past pieces by Flore. It is very refreshing to recall some of her periods and inspirations. Her inspiration, in fact, is like a kind of lightning revelation to answer a question without an immediate response.
In this work, we are touched as if by an illumination that occupied the artist's mind. We understand her irrepressible need to materialize her inspiration before losing it.
The colours, the softness of purple and the harshness of black, convey the sometimes ambiguous relationship of Flore's spirit. She escapes from simple intuition to find the exact path she wished to follow. »
Alain Renner, former Vice President of Sotheby’s France
flore sigrist
Born in 1985 in Strasbourg, Flore Sigrist is a Franco-Swiss artist who began painting at the age of seven, quickly demonstrating remarkable talent. Her career took a turn in 1995 during the first Sotheby’s auction in Monaco. Her abstract paintings are an invitation to escape, allowing each person the freedom to give them whatever meaning they wish, without any imposed guide.
