This exceptional sofa was designed by Eric Bertil Karlén and produced in the 1940s by his company, Firma Rumsinteriör, in Sweden. The graceful shape of the Scandinavian design is accentuated by the buttoned wing-shaped backrest and seat. The solid beech frame features unique side slats and tapered legs. Fully restored, the sofa has been upholstered in white curly sheraling by the artisans of the Norki workshop. Design Eric Bertil Karlén®

Erik Bertil Karlén: A Pioneer of Scandinavian Design
Erik Bertil Karlén was a renowned Swedish designer known for his functional and elegant approach to furniture design. His creations, often characterized by clean lines and organic shapes, embody the essence of mid-century Scandinavian design.
Karlén founded his own workshop, Firma Rumsinteriör, where he could fully express his vision. His chairs, in particular, became design icons, valued for their comfort and timeless aesthetic. One of his most famous pieces is the "Curved Easy Chair," a chair with generous curves that perfectly contour to the body.
