Our seats are made of hides and furs. These are living materials that evolve over time. Hide is a naturally impermeable material which makes it very easy to clean.
Vacuuming your seat regularly. If stained, scrub the area with cold water only, without detergent or washing powder, you will risk changing the integrity of our products.
If your furniture has deteriorated, our workshop is able to respond to your request for your product repair and restoration. We invite you to contact our sales department.
Paying attention to where you place your seat will contribute to its longevity. It should be protected from damp and prolonged exposure to light.
Choose natural colours if you are exposed to strong sunlight, especially in the mountains, as they do not fade. If you opt for tinted skins, install anti-UV filters on the windows.
However, our tinted hides may lose colour saturation and fade slightly over time.

WORKSHOP SECRET
A rare vintage furniture piece, signed by designer Kurt Østervig and restored by our Maison.
Carefully sourced and selected from among many pieces, our vintage furniture specialist inspects every detail. The choice is guided by style, era, and designer — but often also by a true “love at first sight”.
The piece is then lovingly restored in our workshops by our expert upholsterers. Having refurbished more than a hundred vintage armchairs and sofas, they now bring new life to this iconic armchair by Kurt Østervig.
Born in 1912 in Odense, Denmark, Kurt Ejvind Østervig was originally trained as a shipbuilding engineer, a profession he practiced for a time. However, during the 1930s he turned to furniture design, driven by his deep passion for working with wood.
