An exposed metal chimney flue cuts through the space like a deliberate architectural gesture. Underfoot, pale stone recalls the rustic floors of alpine barns, grounding the interior in something almost primitive — yet precisely reimagined. The kitchen sharpens this contrast: a stainless steel countertop meets matte Basque red cabinetry. A contemporary intervention — bold, controlled, and intentional.

From the outside, nothing reveals this transformation. The chalet retains its vernacular identity: carved balconies, aged timber façades, small-paned windows. A familiar silhouette, anchored in tradition. Step inside, and the narrative shifts. A deliberate tension unfolds — between past and present, memory and projection.
