A bit of history:
The armchair has always been one of the most studied design objects. This iconic item, long before mass industrial production made them accessible, conveyed power and social status. The uncomfortable stools of ancient Egypt were reserved for commoners, while the ornate marble chairs were reserved for nobility. The thrones of kings were merely the first drafts of the armchairs we know today.
A long creative process was necessary to arrive at the comfortable living room armchair we know today. Materials have, of course, evolved over time, and the way we use this furniture has naturally adapted to our modern lifestyles. Today's armchair is luxurious and becomes a central piece for contemporary interior decoration.

All our creations are made in France, in our Alsatian workshops, with traditional high-fashion upholstery know-how. Some of our creations are accompanied by footrests, like our brand-new Atya armchair, and are adorned with a swivel base, like our Bao armchair.
