SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Norki, a renowned French interior design House and a socially responsible company, imagines, designs, and crafts unique pieces that crosses generations, embodying our values and expertise.

Founded on human and artisanal values, as well as a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship, Norki is committed to a responsible approach, ensuring the quality of both production and development. This commitment reflects our cultural, societal, and environmental values.

Sustainable Product

Combining respect for materials and their enhancement, Norki stands out for the quality of its pieces and its fundamental values. We believe in the power of a beautiful gesture and in passing on a legacy through durable pieces, reflecting our commitment to timeless quality and ethical manufacturing.

With our curated collection of vintage pieces, carefully restored to their former glory, we believe in the magic of bringing these treasures back to life, offering loyal companions for generations to come.

Every Norki pieces bears the signature of Made in France, a symbol of quality and authenticity that we deeply cherish. For us, sustainability goes beyond the mere longevity of a piece; it lies in its impact on the environment and on those who shape it.

Sustainable Employment

Deeply committed to passing on its expertise, our Maison offers in-house training opportunities, welcoming apprentices and interns to our workshops and design studio.

We encourage internal mobility and professional development, offering our employees the opportunity to climb the ladder and unleash their full potential over the long term. We also make a point of employing women.

At Norki, we are dedicated to creating a working environment that promotes the well-being of everyone, where everyone can flourish. Flexible working arrangements – a 4-day week for our workshop, and one day of teleworking per week for the back-office –, have also been implemented to find the best balance between work and family life.

WOMEN'S EMPLOYMENT - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Our Maison is deeply committed to the principles of recognition and respect, regardless of origin, gender, family situation, or profession: respect for differences guarantees objectivity, equal opportunities, the promotion of diversity, and inclusion in recruitment and development.

Norki is particularly sensitive to women's employment and their professional recognition. Sonia Linard, our CEO, is deeply committed to this issue and is constantly promoting women's work: our production workshop, for example, is still entirely female today.

For Norki, the freedom to work – by choice, with dignity, safety, and equity – is an integral part of human well-being. Ensuring that women enjoy this right is a primary goal.

made in France

For us, authenticity and quality are much more than just words; they are the pillars upon which our commitment to Made in France is built. We have made a firm commitment to reducing our carbon footprint by minimizing transportation and prioritizing thoughtful purchases that promote short supply chains.

Made in France is more than just a label in our eyes; it is a true asset. We stand out for the refinement of our pieces and for production that scrupulously respects the highest environmental and social standards.

Each piece, carefully designed and drawn in our design studio, is created in our French workshop. Our offices and workshop are tangible proof of our deep commitment to local and responsible production.

OUR HEADQUARTERS

Our Alsatian headquarters is a model of environmental commitment.

The premises that host us have been designed with respect for and preservation of nature. For example, we use a wood-burning heating system, fuelled by wood waste from the neighbouring company, as part of a collaborative network established between three companies to heat our respective spaces. This partnership allows for optimal use of resources and reduces our carbon footprint.

Furthermore, our buildings are passive structures, designed to maximize energy efficiency and minimize consumption. Thanks to these innovations, we can create a sustainable working environment, aligned with our ecological values.

NATURAL RESOURCES

Faithful to its social, societal, and environmental commitment, our Maison strives to minimize and limit its impact on our planet and imposes strict rules on the sourcing of the exceptional natural materials it works with and transforms.

We have implemented full traceability of our raw materials and defined strict standards for animal welfare while ensuring that these standards are respected. The environmental impact of farms, linked to animal husbandry and feed, is also included in our thinking, and a strict specification must be respected by our various suppliers.

Our primary goal is to enhance the richness and beauty of the raw materials we use, such as leather, fur, and wood, while avoiding waste and offcuts and rationalizing the material. As advocates of upcycling and faithful to our values, we integrate these choices into our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint.

Norki is committed to sustainable and eco-responsible luxury and claims the sustainability of its products. Also, our creations are by nature the vector of timeless elegance and thus escape the seasons and the ephemeral.
We design and manufacture high-quality products that accompany you throughout a lifetime and thus carry within them an implicit sustainability: consuming better and less and always respecting the materials worked.

Our idea of luxury: the respect for the nobility of the material and artisanal know-how, necessary conditions for the creation of an exceptional object charged with meaning, heritage, and history.

INCLUSION

Our Maison is committed to inclusion and showcases the Artist Flore Sigrist.

Autism, a complex neurodevelopmental disorder, affects millions of people worldwide. As we strive for a more inclusive and compassionate society, understanding autism and promoting social responsibility is a paramount element for our Maison.

Through our partnership with Flore Sigrist, a celebrated and talented painter from our region, who is also on the autism spectrum, we support initiatives aimed at promoting understanding and acceptance of autism in our society. We firmly believe that diversity is a wealth, and that inclusion is essential for a harmonious and supportive future. Through this partnership, we want to promote art, craftsmanship, and living together.

Embark with us on this journey, guided by empathy and a commitment to fostering a more favourable environment for people with autism. Discover Flore's finest pieces in our stores in Paris, Gstaad, and Megève.
