WORKSHOP SECRET
Asko is a Finnish company founded in Lahti in 1918 by cabinetmaker Aukusti Avonius. During the First World War, Asko distinguished itself by producing some of the most emblematic pieces of Finnish design.
Like Galeries Lafayette in France, Harrods in the UK and Tsum in Moscow, this major Finnish furniture house played a key role in spreading modern Scandinavian design to the four corners of the world.
This pair of Elisabeth armchairs was designed for Asko.
