Gamla Berlin – Carl Malmsten
Réf : VINGAM
The Swedish architect-designer was a fervent critic of functionalism and an advocate of traditional Swedish craftsmanship, going against the grain of his contemporaries. He was also a dedicated educator who sought alternative approaches and methods for developing handmade products.
For Carl Malmsten, his furniture was not simply an object, but a faithful companion. Their main mission? ‘To serve well’, as he liked to say. Over the years, he created a vast collection of pieces for kings and the powerful, as well as for the most modest households. Whether it was a kitchen, bedroom or living room, Malmsten's aim was to create furniture that was both functional and harmonious, enhancing the well-being of its users.
