Hans J. Wegner was a renowned Danish designer, considered one of the pioneers of modern Scandinavian design. Best known for his iconic chair designs, including the famous Wishbone Chair (CH24), Wegner created over 500 pieces throughout his career. His approach combined functionality, clean aesthetics, and expert craftsmanship, highlighting the natural beauty of wood. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he worked with architects such as Arne Jacobsen before establishing his own studio. Wegner believed that "the chair is the most difficult and honourable piece to design."
